NANCY L. ABROLAT
Nancy L. Abrolat is a partner of Abrolat & Teren LLP. Ms. Abrolat began her legal practice in 1990 in employment law at the prestigious law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP where she received invaluable training and experience. In 1995, Ms. Abrolat opened the Firm to provide top-quality employment law legal services.
During her legal career, Ms. Abrolat has represented both employers and employees in all aspects of employment law, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, whistle-blower claims and wage and hour violations. Ms. Abrolat is licensed to practice in front of all courts in the State of California, as well as the federal courts in the Ninth Circuit. She also has developed a focus in jury trials and to that end, successfully completed the demanding Trial Advocacy Program sponsored by the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Ms. Abrolat received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California at San Francisco, Hastings College of the Law in 1990, where she graduated magna cum laude. While there, she earned membership for academic achievement in the Order of the Coif and served as Associate Managing Editor of the Hastings Law Journal. Ms. Abrolat obtained her undergraduate degree from University of the Pacific, graduating in the top of her class.
PAMELA MCKIBBIN TEREN
Pamela McKibbin Teren is a partner of Abrolat & Teren LLP. In 1990, Ms. Teren began her legal practice at Paul, Hasting, Janofsky & Walker LLP and founded the Firm in 1995. She has represented employees and employers in all aspects of employment law, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, sexual harassment, arbitrations and proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Fair Employment and Housing Commission and wage/hour compliance agencies. Ms. Teren has also been a speaker for various seminars on employment issues, including “Sexual Harassment Update” for the Loman Business Center and “The Seven Deadly Sins of Sexual Harassment Investigations” for the California Employment Law Council.
Ms. Teren graduated from University of California at Los Angeles in 1985. Ms. Teren obtained her Masters of Arts in History with an emphasis on Russian History and United States/Russian International Relations from California State University, Fullerton in 1987. In 1990, Ms. Teren graduated cum laude from Loyola Law School where she was Note and Comment Editor of the International and Comparative Law Journal and recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Civil Procedure.

KEVIN A. McDOWELL
Mr. McDowell was admitted to practice law before all of the courts of the State of California in 2000. He joined the firm of Abrolat & Teren, LLP in December of 2005. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McDowell served as corporate counsel for California Box Company, Inc., and its subsidiary corporations. Mr. McDowell also previously worked as an associate attorney at the San Diego law firm of Robert Ball, APC. He has represented both employers and employees in litigation involving many aspects of employment law, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations. He has also conducted training presentations for supervisors and managers on the topic of sexual harassment prevention.
Mr. McDowell attended law school at the University of Minnesota Law School, earning a Juris Doctor degree in 1999. While in law school, he served as a judicial extern to Hon. Diana S. Eagon of the Hennepin County District Court. He was a member of the Intellectual Property Moot Court, and also served on the Board of Directors of the University Student Legal Service. Mr. McDowell completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he participated in the University's Honors Program, and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
In addition to being passionate about aggressively representing his clients' interests, Mr. McDowell is an avid pilot and holds a commercial pilot's license and a multi-engine flight instructor license. He is a past member of the National Transportation Safety Board Bar Association and Lawyer-Pilot's Bar Association.
